Physical Description
On the dorsal portion of their bodies, Asiatic Reticulated Python is light yellowish to brown with black lines stretching diagonally down towards the snout from the ventral region of the eyes.
On the head of the snake, from the end of the snout to the base of the skull or nape, another black line is often present.
Examining the upper jaw at the front of the snout is a way to differentiate Asiatic Reticulated Python from related species.
