Physical Description
The name 'blue tongue lizard' because their tongue is blue, flat and notched tongue, vividly berry blue present inside a bright pink mouth.
They are brownish black and greyish black in color and they are also among the biggest skinks with skin texture like 'salak' fruit.
Their stout tails are marked with dark cross bands.

They are viviparous- they do not lay egg but giving birth.
Suitable as pet because they quickly become used to human.
They can break part of the tail off 'if needed' to escape from predator.
All the food and water reserves are stored in the tail but if they trashing the tail, they can still live as long as there are food resource.
